ECHA CHEM is the European Chemicals Agency’s platform for information on substances placed on the EU market. It publishes information from REACH registration dossiers filed with the agency, together with classification and labelling entries and cross-references to other EU regulatory regimes.

Partly open Free credential-free access was observed against the platform’s public substance interface, which returned complete substance records without any account. The rendered interface itself is a client-side application and was not exercised, so no claim is made about its on-screen filters, exports or any CAPTCHA. The agency’s main site refused automated requests behind a web application firewall, which is a bot filter rather than an outage.

Limitaciones
Registration is a filing duty, not a permission. The registrant asserts the data and bears responsibility for it, and the agency does not thereby verify the dossier.
The platform reflects rather than constitutes the other lists shown on a substance page, such as harmonised classification, which originates in EU legal acts adopted elsewhere.
Migration from the agency’s older chemical search pages is still in progress, so for some purposes both surfaces may still need consulting.
