Limites
A CAPTCHA gates the Kansas search, which blocks automated and repeated lookups.
Part of Business Search sits behind payment, an account or another restriction, so the free tier answers only part of a due-diligence question.
It does not prove good standing (that is the separately purchased Certificate of Good Standing, which the office says is available only to "any business who is in good standing"), nor that the information report is current, nor licensing, nor tax compliance — the office expressly states "Tax documents are not available through the Secretary of State's database and are not filed with this office" — nor solvency or creditworthiness.
Free images are not certified output: Kansas still charges for certified copies and certificates of status.
