The Solicitors Register is the public record of solicitors and law firms regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in England and Wales. It records where a solicitor works, which firms are regulated, firms that have been closed down, and people prohibited from practising.
Domain Rating is a dated Ahrefs snapshot of domain authority. PetroHrys Score is an independent editorial assessment of the directory’s practical business value. Unusually for a professional register, it covers both individuals and the firms they work in, so a law firm can be verified as a regulated entity.
It positively records closed-down firms and prohibited individuals, so an adverse outcome is visible rather than simply absent.
Limitations
It covers England and Wales only. Scotland and Northern Ireland regulate solicitors separately, and this register does not reach them.
It does not cover barristers, legal executives or unregulated legal service providers.
Regulation establishes that a person or firm is authorised. It is not a statement about the quality of advice or the outcome of any matter.
