SOSDirect is the state business-entity register operated by the Office of the Texas Secretary of State. It covers business entities formed or registered under the Texas Business Organizations Code and filed with the Secretary of State (corporations, LLCs, LPs, LLPs, nonprofits, foreign registrations), together with assumed names, trademarks and UCC filings inside the same application. Filed documents and certificates are ordered separately for a fee.
Domain Rating is a dated Ahrefs snapshot of domain authority. PetroHrys Score is an independent editorial assessment of the directory’s practical business value. They are separate measurements and are never combined. Domain Rating values are dated historical Ahrefs snapshots. New measurements are not collected because the Research Center does not depend on mandatory authenticated APIs. Domain Rating is a third-party metric produced by their respective providers, not by PetroHrys.com. Each recorded value carries its provider and the date it was measured, and describes the domain that was measured rather than one page on it. No source has been consulted for authority score, estimated traffic and referring domains, so they are not published for any record.
The Office of the Texas Secretary of State is the statutory source for Texas, so an entry exists because a filing was made — not because anyone submitted a listing.
Limitations
Searching is not free: "There is a $1.00 statutorily authorized fee associated with each search, which supports the ongoing operations and enhancements of SOSDirect."
An account with the Office of the Texas Secretary of State is required before any search can be run, so the register cannot be checked anonymously.
Documents are a separate paid product — "Business Copies and Certificates" is a separately priced service — so the free tier returns index data only.
A SOSDirect record proves a filing exists with the Secretary of State; it is not a licence, not tax compliance and not creditworthiness.
