How much of each database is actually workable today. These are dataset-quality metrics, not business performance: they measure how much we know, not how well anything performed. The number worth improving is Ready, not the platform count.

Research debt across all three collections is 2072 opportunities: 1758 need a route established and 314 need a browser. That is the honest state of the catalogue, and it is reported rather than smoothed over by lowering what Ready means.

What Ready means, and what it does not

Ready means three things are true: we know what action the platform supports, we have a recorded URL that matches that action, and no known restriction prevents it. It does not mean the submission will be accepted, that it is free, or that anything will be published — an editor may still say no.

Unknown is never promoted to Ready. A platform whose route we never established is in Needs research, and a platform behind a bot filter is in Needs browser — separate, because they need different work from different people. A blocked request proves the server answered and nothing else, so it never means dead.

Confidence is about acting safely, not about prestige. High means the action, route, cost, moderation and effort are all established. Every band lists what it is still missing rather than showing a number on its own.

The three collections are read through an adaptor and never merged: each row keeps its source collection, its own quality signal and its own kind of action. A directory citation is not a press mention and a classified listing is not editorial coverage.

There is no completed or submitted state here. Tracking who did what belongs in a system with per-company storage; this is a knowledge base. A header-only tracker template is committed for teams that want to keep that state elsewhere.
